sr.ht - open source software suite for managing software projects

An alpha version of sr.ht has just been announced publicly. It's an open source software combining hosting of source code with continuous integration, mailing lists, a bug tracker, manuals and more.

Whereas this sounds a lot like GitHub, Gitea or Gogs the web UI of sr.ht is not a copy of Githubs interface and and claims to be build around the needs of developers. This manifests in an average web page size of 10KB and the absence of JavaScript and tracking of any kind.

The individual components (git, CI, lists, ...) are provided as standalone applications which integrate with each other. This modular approach makes it possible to mix and match the solution with third parties.

As usual a hosted solution is available and the application can be run on own hardware for those who wish to stay in control of their data.
